Bunts College of Higher Education BCHE (Night College)
BOMBAY BUNTS ASSOCIATION (BBA) was started by Bunts alias Shetty Community who hails from Dakshina Kannada District of Coastal Karnataka. Bunts Community predominantly landowners engaged in agriculture & cultivation.
Literally, Bunts means soldiers or warriors like the Marathas in Maharashtra India. The Bunts Community believes in the old adage "LIVE & LET LIVE" . They are the Nationalist force working for the upliftment of Culture and rich heritage of our Nation.
BBA came into being in the year 1982 through the earnest and dedicated efforts of a team of pioneering philanthropists imbued with a sincere sense of mission.
The Association was registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 and the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950 in the year 1983.
Building opportunities through education, culture and social development.
In order to facilitate the numerous activities of the Association inter alia higher education, BBA had procured a plot of land admeasuring 1998.76 sq. mt. in Navi Mumbai from CIDCO in the year 1999. Thereafter, constructed a building known as "Bunts Center" complex, comprising of ground floor plus 3 floors at the front side and four floors at the rear side of the building.
BBA has the state of the art air-conditioned Auditorium with a seating capacity of about 700 people. The total built-up area of the building is 33,500 sq.ft.
BUNTS COLLEGE OF HIGHER EDUCATION
Affiliated to the University of Mumbai, Bunts College of Higher Education has received permission from the Maharashtra Government as well as from the University of Mumbai to run degree courses at the Bunts Center, Juinagar - Navi Mumbai.
The college offers B.Com. (Accounting & Finance), BMS (Bachelor of Management Studies) and B.Com. (Bachelor of Commerce) from the academic year 2014-15.
BBA Night College is a boon to the working class, enabling students to pursue higher education while continuing their professional journey. The philosophy of "Earn & Learn" provides students and their families with valuable opportunities for growth.
Many members of our community who came to Mumbai several decades ago were themselves products of night schools and morning/night colleges. BCHE continues this tradition by creating accessible pathways to higher education.

A Legacy of Night Education
The phenomenal success of the decades-old Karnataka Free Night High School, established over half a century ago and now managed by the Bunts Sangha Mumbai, has produced many graduates, double graduates, postgraduates and doctorates.
Its alumni have gone on to become engineers, doctors, pharmacists, medical professionals, lawyers, architects, businessmen, hoteliers and industrialists in India and across the globe.

Members of the Bunts Community, including those with surnames such as Shetty, Rai, Hegde, Naik and Alva, have humble beginnings and a constant urge to excel.
With the support of the Bombay Bunts Association (BBA), the Night College was established at Bunts Center, Navi Mumbai, with the objective of providing quality higher education to deserving students.
